Regatta Fees & Protocols
Learn more about Community Rowing regatta protocols for adult rowing programs, including information on requesting boats and fees for home and away races.
Home Races
- Requests must be submitted 10 days before the Regatta
- Singles and doubles must be captains tested
- For doubles, the bow seat must be bow tested
- Quads must always have a coach usher them to and from the finish line
- Other boat classes may need a coach to usher them per the discretion of the Director of Operations or Director of Programs
Home Race Fees
- Racing 8+ $200 or $22.22/person
- Rec 8+ $160 or $17.78/person
- Racing 4x/-/+ $100 or $25/person
- Racing 2x: $85 or $42.50/person
- Racing 1x: $50
- If the boat requires a coach that cost is $35/hr
Away Races
- You must first reach out to Rachel Purington to make sure attending the regatta is feasible
- Singles & Doubles must be captains tested or have written permission from the Director of Operations or Director of Programs
- Bow seat must be bow tested or have written permission from the Director of Operations Director of Programs
- If CRI is already planning on attending the regatta other teams have priority with space
- If CRI is not planning on attending the regatta and the truck and a trailer are available, you must source two CRI certified trailer drivers
- Boat requests are due at least 10 days before the regatta if the regatta is under 5 hours away
- Boat requests are due at least 20 days before the regatta if the regatta is 5+ hours away
- If CRI is already planning on attending the regatta other teams have priority with space
Away Race Fees**
- 1-3 hours away: $22/seat (Minimum number of seats to travel: 25)
- 3-5 hours away: $32/seat (Minimum number of seats to travel: 35)
- 5-8 hours away: $42/seat (Minimum number of seats to travel: 35)
- 8+ hours away: Reach Rachel Purington
**Per seat, per time rowed. Example: If G16 (8 seats) gets rowed twice for a regatta 1-3 hours away, the cost for that hull to go is $320.
