RowBoston - High School Rowing

RowBoston is the scholastic rowing team for high school and middle school students in Boston Public Schools. The team rows out of the Harry Parker Boathouse at 20 Nonantum Road, Brighton, under a larger organization: Community Rowing, Inc.

The team trains for fall, winter, spring, and summer regattas across New England. Student-athletes compete at either the novice, JV, or varsity level of competitions based on their experience and commitment level. Starting in spring 2022, new athletes must complete a Learn To Row class before registering for RowBoston. Student-athletes have access to a fleet of cutting-edge rowing shells, high-performance-level coaching, and a supportive social environment in which to grow and thrive as athletes and individuals.

In addition to excellent athletic coaching, RowBoston provides student-athletes with access to one-on-one tutoring with undergraduate student-athletes on the Harvard University rowing teams. RowBoston visits colleges and universities in New England, New York City, Philadelphia, and the general Tri-State Area. The team's staff and tutors support its student-athletes' academic progress and goals after graduation, and provide student athletes with mentorship and a lifelong supportive community.

Transportation is provided to the boathouse via school bus from the Ruggles T stop/200 Forsyth Street. Student-athletes are picked up on the lower level of Ruggles (down the stairs, on the Northeastern Campus side, NOT the upstairs bus terminal). Inputting "200 Forsyth Street" into Maps illustrates the correct pickup location. Pickup times are consistent season to season; see below for times and details. Registration links and the same pickup information can be found under the dropdown menu on the right hand side of this page.

Student-athletes are provided with nutritional snacks at the boathouse. Staff also provides informational presentations on nutrition and healthy living once per season.
