CRI is proud to offer a variety of summer training options as part of 2020 Competitive Youth Summer rowing. Interested athletes and their families can click each of the programs to learn more about the programs offered.

2019 Competitive Youth Summer Features: 

  • Functional Movement Screening:  Our coaching staff will provide each athletes functional movement screening throughout the program to maximize areas of improvement to produce a more balanced and capable athletic approach to rowing and racing.
  • Video Review.  Video review will be conducted as needed on a boat by boat and individual basis.
  • Introduction to Mindfulness.
  • Small Boat Training.  With 35 small boat options, CRI may offer small boat training to athletes as part of the training and racing experience.  Small boat rowing is at the discretion of the coaching staff. 

Pre-Summer: Foundation Building

May 26 to June 12, 2019. For those not attending Youth Nationals. Program is designed to develop athlete fundamentals as a bridge between the end of the spring racing season and the start of summer rowing. This is a great programs for athletes looking to maintain contact with training and rowing while focusing on fundamentals.

Junior Development

June 15 to August 8, 2019. (4- and 8-week options available). The CRI Summer Development team aims to prepare high-school aged athletes (rising freshmen and above) for varsity tryouts and more competitive rowing endeavors.

Junior Racing

June 22 to July 19, 2019. This team trains at CRI during the first half of the summer, with the opportunity at the end of the program to compete at the Philadelphia Youth Regatta.

Junior High Performance

June 22 to August 10, 2019. Selected athletes will train through the summer and compete at Canadian Henley Regatta.
