Program Details

The CRI U-23 Summer Development Squad offers collegiate rowers a competitive environment to train for seven weeks on the Charles River.

The development program will provide opportunities to Under 23 men and women to train in sweep and sculling shells and use the intersection of skills developed in both disciplines to improve their overall fitness. We are looking for ambitious athletes who want to expand their rowing and racing experience. The men’s and women’s squads will race at Canadian Henley in Saint Catherines, Ontario.

Each team size is capped at 12 rowers for maximum individual focus from the coaching staff. CRI is looking for athletes with 2K erg scores under 7:40 for women and 6:25 for men (with consideration to different standards for lightweight athletes). The program is open to lightweight and openweight athletes, and although there is a performance threshold, we will value a recommendation from the college coaches about an athlete’s abilities.

Price

$585 program fee, not including travel and regatta fees. CRI Facility Fee is also required.
