Kevin is Boys U-19 Head Coach at CRI. Kevin is a 2019 graduate of CRI’s Institute for Rowing Leadership (IRL) and has coached CRI’s Adult Novice sweeps, Advanced Sweeps, and the U17, U19 and U23 summer racing teams.
Kevin got his own start in rowing as a coxswain at Saint John’s High School. As a student at Mercyhurst University, he coxed the Varsity 8.
After college, Kevin began his career coaching the Novice team at Saint John’s High School and then the Varsity team at University of the Holy Cross. Most recently, Kevin was an assistant coach of the Cornell men’s heavyweight team for three years, before returning to his hometown of Boston and to CRI.
Outside of work, Kevin is a big fan of classic rock from the 60s and 70s (a favorite is Crosby, Stills, and Nash). He also loves to read history books—especially military history, but as a rowing coach it’s probably no surprise that he’s a fan of books that feature the triumph of the human spirit over extreme odds!
