Grace, Grit & Glory

Countless women have had access to rowing, thanks to the early pioneers of our sport, and the mission-driven programs of Community Rowing, Inc. We share a passion for rowing, a drive for excellence, and a desire to encourage those just getting their start. This is the network you are part of. This is Grace, Grit and Glory.

2020 Grace Grit & Glory Award Winner

Dr. Kathryn Ackerman

This year we are honoring Dr. Kathryn (Kate) Ackerman, a sports medicine physician and the medical director of the Female Athlete Program in the Division of Sports Medicine at Boston Children's Hospital. She is a former US National Team rower, a team physician for USRowing, and course director for the International Female Athlete Conference, held biannually in Boston since 2013. She is an outspoken advocate not only for women’s health, but also the equitable allocation of resources and attention afforded to female athletes in the sporting and medical world.

The evening starts with a networking hour, please bring your business cards to share and help our youngest members and current Row Boston athletes strengthen their networking skills. Join other powerful women in rowing from several generations and career paths for great conversations, food, and more...

GGG has celebrated the unique accomplishments of women rowers on and off the water since 2013.
