From the Nation's Capital, Skye began rowing in his youth at Woodrow Wilson High School in Washington, D.C. Since then, he has brought a wealth of experience and success coaching crews over the past few decades.
During the summer of '08 and '09, Skye was a coach for the US Junior National Team Women's Development Camp. Before arriving at CRI, Skye coached for Plant High School, Sarasota Crew, and Atlanta Juniors, yielding several state and regional titles and championships.
Since joining us in 2015, Skye has helped CRI return to a strong competitive presence on both the Regional and National level with the program yielding several medals and titles at Canadian Henley, Northeast Regional Championships, and Club Nationals. Additionally, CRI has seen the return of several crews in the finals and medals at Youth Nationals.
Most recently, Skye was invited to coach with the U.S. Junior National Team at the World Rowing Championships in Varese, Italy where his Junior Women's 4+ won gold and set two new World's Best Times.
Skye has a boat named after him in the CRI fleet for his years of coaching excellence and the passion he has for supporting athletes to grow and reach their potential both as rowers and as people. When he's not coaching, you can find him on the open roads of New England as he loves to take long weekend drives!
