Rachel Purington

Manager of Customer Service

Rachel began her rowing career in New Hampshire as a sophomore in high school, fell in love with the sport and has never looked back. A 2017 graduate of the University of Rhode Island with a BS in Political Science, Rachel was a four year varsity coxswain on the URI Men's Rowing team.

In her URI coxing career, highlights have included earning silver and bronze medals at the New England Rowing Championships, placing 4th in the Men's Varsity 4+ in 2016 at the American Collegiate Rowing Association Championship Regatta and coxing in the Head of the Charles Regatta each of her four years in college.

Rachel is a Volunteer Assistant for the MIT Women's Open Weight team, CRI Varsity Girl's Assistant and most recently took on the role of the Manager of Customer Service after graduating from the Institute for Rowing Leadership in June, 2017. Rachel is excited to join the CRI staff and help contribute to the "Rowing For All" mission. When not at CRI, Rachel can be found napping, participating in outdoor adventures and visiting her Standard Poodle, Bode, in New Hampshire.
