Training/Exercise Facilities

CRI houses the largest fleet of rowing shells operated by a single club in North America in the award winning Harry Parker Boathouse.
Boathouse Facilities and Equipment
Our fleet of rowing shells is the largest in North America for a stand-alone rowing club.
The boat fleet inclues:
30 - Eight Seat boats; 26 - Four Seat boats; 14 - Two Seat boats; 42 - single seat boats; 7 - intermediate single seat boats; 10 - training/introductory single seat boats.
For our Adaptive/Para programs, we provide 4 - Two Seat boats; 3 single seat boats modified specifically for rowing activities. In addition, we provide specific modifications to our fleet to enable larger groups of adaptive athletes to experience rowing in larger team boats.
We also have 3 - Twelve seat training barges for introductory rowing lessons. Our coaching staff uses 17 wakeless launches and 10 flatbottom coaching launches to help our crews navigate the Charles River safely and comfortably.
We believe offering so many different boat classes deepens our capacity to fulfill our mission. In addition to an our extensive inventory, we provide locker rooms and showers, a fully outfitted weight room, 20 spin bikes, and more than 60 rowing machines in our spacious Community Room, which is filled with natural light and overlooks the Charles river.
We do not offer "memberships", rather, we ask that all participants, youth and adult, pay a facility fee which allows CRI to maintain the boathouse and keep the building open, clean and available to rowers seven days a week.
Please be aware that regularly scheduled programs and classes have priority for use of space and equipment.
Rowers who car-top their own boats to the boathouse have access to our docks for launching.
